Big News at New Beginning Center!

It's 2013 and that means it's our 30th year anniversary at New Beginning Center. It is a bitter sweet moment as we celebrate all the lives that have been saved through the work our team and the community has done, but it also is a reminder that we have been doing this work for 30 years! Recent reports show that domestic and child abuse is on the rise and that means we need to help more than ever. That means we need you! We have so many wonderful programs, event and project that you can be a part of to help change the world around you for the better! From volunteering to donating to helping us fund-raise, we have a place for you!
Our events this year are The Bag Lady Luncheon- an event designed for the fashion minded woman who love giving back and handbags! Enjoy a delicious gourmet lunch with other fashionistas while being inspired by Laurie Grace Bouldin, our special guest speaker! Our event includes our signature Handbag silent auction along with fabulous door prizes and raffles!
On June 7th, get out those clubs because we are Setting the Course Against Domestic Violence with our annual Golf Tournament at Buffalo Creek Golf Club in Heath Texas! Our scramble begins at noon and includes lunch, snacks, drinks, goodie bags, special golf contests like closest to the pin and hole in one and of course a day of fun in the sun to end family violence!
On September 20th we will gather for the party of the Year: Our 30th Anniversary Celebration! Our theme this year is Why I Celebrate! We have worked alongside so many of you in the past 30 years and we want to know your stories and your passion for helping to end domestic violence! Come celebrate the night away with us!
For the runner in you we are so excited to launch our 1st Annual Purple Passion 5K Race and Fun Run! Set for Oct. 12th we will have so many division that everyone can join in! Don't miss your chance to bring the kiddos and have them compete in our Kiddie 1K, or your furry friends for our Mutt Strut and to make sure that all are welcome and can join the fun our Wheels of Steel Division (wheelchair and para-fitness.) The race will have so many fun surprises so come out and make some new memories with us this year!
